Hello Summer!

At Provisions Health, we know that almost everyone is eager to get outside and take full advantage of the warmer weather. With hotter temps comes an increased risk to summer health hazards. Here are FIVE summer hazards and how to avoid them as you embrace the changing of the seasons. . .

  1. heat exhaustion & heat stroke – know your risk level, seek the shade, stay hydrated and wear light layers
  2. dehydration – keep your water bottle nearby and snack on foods with high water content
  3. food poisoning – limit the amount of perishable picnic foods and keep ice on-hand
  4. sunburn – apply sunscreen frequently, block both UVA & UVB rays, seek shade and wear a wide brimmed hat
  5. swimming accidents – heed water warnings, have an adult present and don’t swim beyond your skill level

Be summer SMART and enjoy the season!
